Suzuki Garphyttan has increased its yearly production capacity of valve spring wire in China to 10 kton by adding a 2nd production line in its Chinese unit in Suzhou outside of Shanghai. The total investment for this step is close to 10 mUSD.
The demand for valve spring wire in China has grown very rapidly in recent years following the strong growth in car production in China. The investment is made to be able to further support this growth trend. The official inauguration of the new production line will take place on May 23 with specially invited guests.
