On June 23, 2012, the official inauguration of a new production line, phase 2, took place with specially invited guests.
Suzuki Garphyttan has now increased its yearly production capacity of valve spring wire in China to 10 kton by adding this 2nd production line in its Chinese unit in Suzhou outside of Shanghai. The total investment for this step is close to 10 mUSD.
The demand for valve spring wire in China has grown very rapidly in recent years following the strong growth in car production in China. The investment is made to be able to further support this growth trend.
