New site in Mexico

On March 3rd 2016, the Board of Directors in Suzuki Garphyttan decided to establish a green field production plant in San José Iturbide in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.
The new plant is now successfully finished and was inaugurated on April 7 by CEO Jan Pieters (photo) at a Grand Opening Ceremony in the presence of the Mayor of San José Iturbide and State Government officials, representatives from NSSG and NSSMC as well as many of our local and global customers and suppliers. Main focus for the new plant is production of Valve Spring Quality Wire, but also other Oil Tempered Wire products.
Plant size is 13,000 m2 with the possibility for future expansion.
Location for the new plant is in the Opcion Industrial Park, some 50 km north of the city of Queretaro.
The production will start in quarter 2, 2017, with an initial capacity of 300 tons per month, growing to a 1,000 tons/month capacity following market demand.
