Eliminate certain non-environmentally friendly elements

At Suzuki Garphyttan, we recognize that some stages of wire production involve hazardous substances that can pose risks to both people and the environment. While our wire products maintain the same high quality across all sites, each facility is at a different stage of transitioning toward non-hazardous and more sustainable processes.

Our target is clear: by 2030 we will eliminate prioritized non-environmentally friendly substances in our operations, specifically hardening oil, heating oil, zinc-phosphate, lead, and xylene. This long-term commitment reduces risks, ensures compliance with environmental regulations, and strengthens workplace safety.

To protect people and the environment, we apply strict handling requirements:

    • All chemicals must be stored in containment systems to prevent spills and leaks.
    • Every chemical is registered in our chemical handling system, minimizing risks and ensuring legal compliance.
    • Clear labeling, safe handling procedures, and compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and regulations are mandatory.
