Minimizing our environmental impact

At Suzuki Garphyttan, we take environmental responsibility across all our sites, striving not only to comply but to exceed applicable legal requirements by contributing to sustainable development. We do this through continuous process development which includes optimizing our resource utilization and adopting cleaner, more sustainable technologies in production.

Investing in employees and the community

We take the health, safety and happiness of our employees at Suzuki Garphyttan very seriously. We therefore work tirelessly on building and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and diverse workplace that benefits both our company and the individual employee.

Driving growth through innovation

We adapt to the market of today and tomorrow. Traditionally our production has been focused on conventional automotive products, often related to the internal combustion engine. The automotive segment will always be important to us, but to continue to be a world-leading wire supplier we are developing our offer and finding our ways into new markets.

Sustainability report

Each year, we release a new sustainability report. The purpose of the report is to track our progress over time and set goals for future sustainability efforts. It contains information about energy and resource use, waste management, employee health and safety, and more.

Innovation in wire production

We are proud to announce our participation in Sweden's largest event for promoting diversity in technology and engineering, Introduce a Girl to Engineering day (IGEday). This year's event, taking place on March 22, 2024, marks a historic achievement with over 80 registered companies and more than 2,200 potential participants. It is with joy and commitment that we participate in this decades-long initiative to inspire and include young girls and non-binary individuals between 13-19 years in the world of technology.

Suzuki Garphyttan announces layoffs

After negotiations with the labor unions on September 14, Suzuki Garphyttan has officially notified 68 employees of upcoming layoffs due to a shortage of work. This decision arises from a weakened European market and decreased production volumes. The decision will affect industrial workers at the facility in Garphyttan, Sweden.
